Drooling for herbal eggs? We use Chinese angelica, Rehmannia root, Chuanxiong, licorice root and more herbs in this recipe. Try our simple recipe to make your own herbal eggs at home.
Ingredients (serves ten to fifteen)
1 packet | Eu Yan Sang herbal egg ingredients |
1 packet | Eu Yan Sang herbal egg ingredients (Supplementary Herbs) |
8 gram | salt |
2 tbsp | dark soya sauce |
1.5 tbsp | light soya sauce |
33g | sugar |
2 litre | water |
Instructions:
Step 1: Pre-cook 10 to 15 eggs & lightly crack the shell
Step 2: Cover the eggs with water & add the following:
• 1 packet of EYS herbal egg ingredients
• 1 packet of EYS herbal egg ingredients (supplementary herbs)
• 8 g of salt
• 2 tbsp of dark soya sauce
• 1.5 tbsp of light soya sauce
• 33g of sugar
Step 3: Cook over a low fire & simmer for 3 hours
For a stronger herbal taste, we would recommend to simmer the eggs for over 5 hours. Enjoy!
