Understanding "Menopause" From a TCM Perspective
Menopause is a natural biological process that all women go through as they age. Hormonal changes in the body characterize menopause, marking the end of a woman's reproductive years. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a holistic approach to managing menopause by focusing on balancing the body's energy flow.
Common menopause-related concerns include hot flushes, mood swings, PMS, hair loss, loss in skin elasticity, and saggy skin. These symptoms are typically attributed to the decline in estrogen levels during menopause. TCM believes that these discomforts are a result of imbalances in the body's Yin and Yang energies.
The below are some practical tips for managing the transition through Menopause:

Menoease pills, a commercially available Bak Foong Pill-derived formula, specifically attenuate post-menopausal symptoms. Menopause is a natural transitional period in a woman’s life and is associated with decreasing levels of sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. Intensive research over a 3-year period results in the creation of this refined herbal formula to modulate the endocrine and immune system of post-menopausal women1.
During aging, weakened immunity is related to decline of T-cell proliferation and B-cell antibody production. In vitro experiments show that the formula regulates the white blood cell distribution and proliferation, redistributing from the old age range back into values within the adult population2.
